National Key Trainer in Financial Literacy

JOB DESCRIPTION

Cufa is seeking expressions of interest for a National Key Trainer in Financial Literacy to work on a two-year ADB-funded project on “Climate-Resilient Farming and Supply Chain Development to Support COVID-19 Recovery for Smallholder Poultry and Maize Farmers”. This project is being implemented in Cufa jointly by Cufa and Prime Consultants. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to food security by increasing the capacity of farmers in climate resilient maize and poultry farming practices as well as in financial literacy. This role will be confirmed on receipt of the contract from the Asian Development Bank.

DUTIES
  • Work closely with international financial literacy expert to develop financial literacy training curriculum and training resources covering the following key topics:
  • Utilizing savings and credit;
  • Simple budgeting and calculating profit;
  • Understanding contracts; and Banking electronically.
  • Deliver one day’s training in financial literacy best practices to all-female cohorts of 4000 smallholder farmers Identify, train and supervise field trainers/local resource persons in coordination with project team and Prime Consultants.
  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of training in financial literacy to female farmers
  • Prepare the training reports
  • Conduct daily monitoring and evaluation of training
  • Assist in data collection for outcome/impact monitoring of the training
  • Other tasks as assigned by Team Leader and international financial literacy expert
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in financial literacy or a related field. Alternative training qualifications combined with more than 3 years of relevant professional experience in financial literacy can be considered.
  • Female candidates are encouraged to apply who will receive highest consideration in the selection process.
  • Prior experience with conducting training programs in financial literacy – compulsory requirement.
  • Prior experience of working with women farmers, including delivering training programs to all-female trainee groups – highly desired.
  • Fluent Khmer and verbal and written communication skills in English – compulsory requirement.
  • Proven experience and familiarity with financial literacy topics, and agricultural economics is an advantage.
